EXPECTATIONS

 
Patravadi School
  • All students must behave with good character, morality, ethics, and discipline, and uphold the reputation of themselves and the school.
  • Students must arrive at school before 08:00 to join the morning flag ceremony.
  • Once students have arrived at school, they may not leave the school grounds without permission.
  • Parents who wish to visit a student must contact the administration office. Visiting students in classrooms or dormitories is not permitted.
  • If a parent needs to take their child out of school for an appointment or pick them up before dismissal time, they must inform a teacher or a staff member, and fill in the Early-Leaver authorisation form at the Administration Office. Staff will bring the student to meet the parent to verify identity before allowing the student to leave.

Dress Code

    • All male and female students must wear the school uniform as specified. (Uniforms are available for purchase at Patravadi School, Hua Hin from 09:00–17:00 Monday-Friday.)
    • Students may choose their preferred hairstyle. Male students may follow modern styles, but hair must not be shoulder-length.
    • Hair colouring must not be in unnatural shades, such as green, orange, pink, blue.

Attendance and tardiness

 
    • Students must attend school every day and be present for at least 80% of total class hours. Students who do not meet this requirement will not be eligible to take the examinations no are complete the academic year requirments.
    • Arriving at school after the national flag has been raised is counted as one tardy.
      Three tardies are counted as one absence.
    • If a student is absent for more than three consecutive days, the school reserves the right to temporarily suspend the student from the current term. The student may be allowed to return in the following term, subject to the school’s consideration.

Leave of absence and sick leave

 
  • Parents must inform the school for the reason of any absence and provide supporting documentation. These should be attached to the required forms and submitted to the class teacher when the student returns to school.
  • Students with contagious or infectious diseases must stay home until they have fully recovered.
  • If a student is seriously ill, the school will contact parents to take their chlid home for proper care.
  • If a student is mildly unwell, the school will provide care in the school infirmary.
  • If there are any medical expenses, parents are responsible for covering all related costs.

Boarding student regulations (dormitory rules)

 
  • All students must leave the dormitory in the morning with all required school materials, prepared the night before.
  • Morning: Students must leave the dormitory no later than 07:45hrs and may return at 13:00hrs.
  • Evening: Students must return to the dormitory no later than 20:30hrs.
  • The dormitory doors close at 22:00hrs.
  • Eating food inside the bedrooms is not permitted.
  • Weapons, lighters, and matches are strictly prohibited.
  • Students may not sleep in another student’s bed or place belongings on an empty bed.
  • Students must not make loud noise that disturbs others.
  • Students will respect the schools and each others property.

Graduation requirements

 

Students will be eligible for graduation when they have successfully passed all examinations and assessments, which includes the free-elective subjects and all art courses, and when their overall academic performance meets the highest standards set by the Ministry of Education, as well as that of the school.

Termination of student status

 
  • Excessive absences beyond the school’s allowed limit, or frequent habitual lateness.
  • Failure to follow the school’s rules and regulations.
  • Repeated misconduct after having already been placed on disciplinary probation.
